Loam Agency, an employee‑owned agency, announces its official launch. Loam partners with integrity‑driven organizations on brand, marketing, web, and software initiatives, operating with an intentionally selective client roster to protect depth, quality, and transparency.
Loam’s story began in late 2025, when now co‑owner Meredith Fleig began taking on strategy consulting work while supporting her family as a solo parent under the Loam brand. In December, four long‑time collaborators—now co‑owners Megan Fuss, Adam Funk, Chelsi Lange, and John Davenport—approached Fleig with a shared vision for a new kind of agency. In January, the five officially joined forces to kick off Loam Agency as their shared vision for what an agency really should be.
“Loam exists because we love what we do and we wanted to do this work the right way,” said co‑owner Meredith Fleig. “We’re intentional about the clients we partner with and the projects we take on. You can’t do great strategy and execution on autopilot. You can't productize empathy and connection, and that's where so many agencies get it wrong. We want relationships where we understand the whole company—brand, culture, systems—and then build marketing, web, and product work that actually fits.”
Loam was created as an alternative, not competitor, to highly productized agency models that prioritize volume and revenue over nuance, ethics, and long‑term fit. We’re not competing with every other agency because we’re not trying to work like every other agency—or work with the same kinds of clients. Loam’s goal is to do excellent work for people and organizations whose values align with ours, and to make the process enjoyable and sustainable for everyone involved.
Loam Agency serves B Corps, ESG‑oriented enterprises, nonprofits, and other impact‑driven organizations—particularly in high‑trust areas such as financial, healthcare and technology—where security, compliance, accessibility, and inclusivity are essential.
Loam’s services span:
- Brand and positioning strategy
- Marketing strategy and campaigns
- Website and digital experience design and development
- Product and software experience strategy and messaging
- Ongoing advisory and embedded strategic support
The agency is built on several core principles:
- Strategy first: No isolated tactics; every engagement starts with understanding the brand, organization, and user impact.
- Employee ownership: All co‑owners have a stake and a voice, aligning incentives with long‑term quality over short‑term throughput.
- Radical transparency: Clear communication on scope, pricing, constraints, and risks—no spin, no mystery line items.
- Anti‑predatory practices: No resold hosting markups, surprise fees, or upsells that don’t serve the client’s goals.
- Intentional partnerships: A carefully chosen client roster to preserve depth of work, team well‑being, and the ability to say “no” when something isn’t a fit.
Each co‑owner brings a different perspective to that vision:
“After years inside traditional agency structures, I wanted a place where integrity and clear thinking weren’t negotiable,” said co‑owner Megan Fuss. “Loam is our answer to that—strategy‑driven work, delivered with actual respect for people.”
“For me, it’s simple,” said co‑owner Adam Funk. “I want to spend my time solving real problems with people I trust, not navigating unnecessary layers and policies. Loam gives us the freedom to be proactive, honest, and focused on the work.”
“I like building things quietly and well,” said co‑owner Chelsi Lange. “Loam gives us the space to do thoughtful work with teams that value quality over noise.”
“We had done so much work together building processes and finding our groove,” said co‑owner John Davenport. “So it made perfect sense for us to continue working together. Now we are empowered to really support one another and build things in a way that we know works and is best for our clients.”
Loam is already working with several values‑aligned clients across financial services, higher education, healthcare, public sector personal brands, and nonprofits, including collaborative partnerships with other agencies and companies to support secure, compliant growth and trustworthy user experiences.
“Our focus is on a small number of long‑term partnerships with organizations that care about process, people, and real impact—not performative metrics or vanity KPIs,” Fleig added. “We just want to do good work for good people.”
